Refund Policy

At Blue Tongue Haven, we are committed to the health and well-being of our Chow Chow puppies. Our refund policy ensures that buyers can have peace of mind when bringing a puppy home.

  1. Health-Related Refunds
    If a puppy’s veterinary examination within the first 7 days of purchase reveals discrepancies with the provided health records, or if the puppy is diagnosed with a serious genetic defect or health issue, the buyer is entitled to a full refund. Refunds will be processed within 3–5 business days.

For replacement puppies, the buyer must provide written confirmation of genetic defects from two licensed veterinarians at different clinics.

  1. Return Due to Care Concerns
    Within the first 90 days after purchase, if the buyer feels they can no longer provide adequate care for the puppy, they may return the puppy for a full refund. Before processing, the breeder will conduct a health examination to ensure the puppy has not suffered due to environmental changes. If the puppy is found to be unwell, a refund will not be issued.

After 90 days from the purchase date, refunds for care-related returns are no longer available.


Return Policy

  1. Return Within 90 Days
    If a puppy is returned within the first 90 days due to inability to provide care, the buyer is responsible for the re-shipping fee.
  2. Return After 90 Days
    If a return is requested after 90 days, the buyer remains responsible for the re-shipping fee.
  3. Health-Related Returns
    If a veterinary checkup conducted within 7 days of purchase finds the puppy unwell or with genetic defects, Blue Tongue Haven will cover the re-shipping fee.

Return and Refund Process

To initiate a return and refund:

  1. Complete the return form located at the bottom of this page.
  2. The breeder will review your submission within 24–48 hours.
  3. Refunds will be processed within 3–5 business days after approval.

While we have not had any puppies returned due to health or genetic issues, our comprehensive return and refund policy is in place to provide full peace of mind for all buyers. The only return experienced to date involved a buyer who had to relocate abroad and could not find a suitable caretaker.

Please note that all deposits are securely held in your Sweet Paw account and will only be released to the breeder with your approval upon receiving the puppy. You can choose to release the funds to the breeder or cancel the payment to receive a refund from your Sweet Paw account.
