Health and Wellness Guarantee – Blue Tongue Haven
At Blue Tongue Haven, we take pride in raising happy and healthy Chow Chow puppies. Each puppy is carefully cared for and comes up-to-date on all vaccinations and deworming treatments at the time of adoption. We provide the following health and wellness guarantee to ensure your new companion begins life in the best condition possible.
1. Veterinary Examination
The Buyer must take their Chow Chow puppy to a licensed veterinarian for a full health check within seven (7) days of receiving the puppy. If the veterinarian discovers a serious congenital defect or underlying illness, Blue Tongue Haven will issue a full refund of the adoption fee, including transportation costs, upon the safe return of the puppy.
2. Breed-Specific Coverage
Because Chow Chows can be prone to certain genetic or health conditions, Blue Tongue Haven provides a lifetime guarantee against serious congenital defects. If diagnosed with a covered condition by two (2) licensed veterinarians, the Buyer may return the puppy for either a full refund of the adoption fee (including transportation costs) or a replacement Chow Chow puppy of equal value.
3. Communicable Diseases
If the puppy is diagnosed with a communicable disease within the first fourteen (14) days of arrival, Blue Tongue Haven will refund the full adoption fee, including transportation costs, upon the puppy’s return.
4. Transportation and Delivery
a. Shipping
If the puppy is shipped, the Buyer is responsible for all transportation expenses. Blue Tongue Haven only uses trusted pet transport services and provides tracking details to ensure peace of mind during the journey.
b. Pickup
If the Buyer chooses to pick up their Chow Chow puppy in person, a non-refundable deposit of $475 is required at the time of signing this agreement. The remaining balance must be paid in full upon pickup.
5. Cost and Payment
The full adoption fee must be paid prior to delivery of the puppy, whether through shipping or pickup. For pickup arrangements, a $475 non-refundable deposit is required at the time of this agreement, with the remaining balance due at pickup.
6. Buyer’s Responsibilities
The Buyer agrees to provide their Chow Chow puppy with lifelong care, including nutritious food, fresh water, safe shelter, daily exercise, and regular veterinary visits. The Buyer must also comply with all state and local regulations regarding dog ownership.
This agreement represents the full understanding between Blue Tongue Haven and the Buyer. Any changes must be made in writing and signed by both parties.
